Essential New Media have launched the ONLY comprehensive guide to Arts Festivals in Derbyshire this summer, on behalf of the artsderbyshire website.
The summer festival season in Derby and Derbyshire kicks off in earnest in May 2010. Essential New Media have launched a comprehensive guide to all that's happening this year, from the very biggest to the most intimate of festivals, in towns and villages in the County.
The festivals guide has already proved to be popular, having been picked up and published in Derbyshire County Council's Gold Magazine as a centre-spread feature, and has been used also by the www.visitpeakdistrict.com website to enliven their own 'Festival Fever' push to tourists visiting the region. As a result the article has swiftly climbed to the 4th most requested page on the site with momentum building day by day.
The guide comes hot on the heels of the Derbyshire Cultural Heritage series rolled out month by month since January 2010 that have charted the rich cultural heritage of the County.
The articles have been written by Essential New Media's Deborah Porter and Sharon Stevens-Cash as a part of a wider editorial and marketing strategy presented by the team to the Derbyshire Arts Partnership to increase audience figures for the artsderbyshire website.
Debbie adds: "This piece of work was a real joy to take on. I've had the opportunity to be in touch with many, many dedicated festivals organisers and help them spread the word about the good things they are doing in their localities. It gives a truly rounded feel to all the vibrancy and energy coming out of the County. This piece of editorial also compliments the work currently underway on the delivery of a marketing strategy for one of Derby's biggest festivals in its calendar - the Derby Festé. And of course, it's great to see it being picked up and used by other great organisations for their own audiences."
