What her clients say:
"Debbie is a pleasure to work with. She has never missed a deadline and is an excellent project manager. She provides a perfect “translation” service between web companies and their jargon and those of us who use ordinary English. I can’t recommend her highly enough.'
Ann Wright, Assistant Head of Arts, Derbyshire County Council

"I really enjoyed working with Debbie... She speaks plain English and even when I didn’t understand something she patiently helped me until I did. And she is not just knowledgeable about websites; she is interesting to talk to about a whole range other stuff too!'

Deborah's profile
Deborah has worked in the Internet industry for the last 14 years. She
started out working in Print and Web Design for Elsevier
Science (formerly Current Science Group) and Associated Northcliffe
Digital (part of the Daily Mail and General
Trust Group).
Her career then took a more team and project management route before
she held her first Senior Management Team position of Head of Design for AND. In her time here she launched exciting and high profile projects
such as This Is London, Femail, the Metro network of sites and This Is Travel. Other brands
she was responsible for the development and ongoing running of were This
Is Money, the Daily Mail and
Mail On Sunday website, Ukplus,
and Loot. She also consulted with
Northcliffe Newspapers in the launch of their 'this is..' network of sites
which have wide coverage across the UK - www.thisisderbyshire.co.uk, www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk are a couple of examples of the many regional websites.
Deborah then moved to an ISP - now BT PlusNet - to help turn around the company's fortunes in preparation for a float
on AIM. She led the redesign and realignment of all the brands held by
the Company, building into the business best practice approaches to web
design and marrying this with giving the websites a keener design edge
to them. Broadband sales took a steep upwards turn and the float on AIM
in Summer 2004 was a success.
As Head of Business Management for PlusNet, Deborah then established a fully operational Project Office and stabilised the throughput of the
Company's multi-disciplined Development teams (110 headcount covering
Web Design, Content writing, Application Development and Infrastructure)
through effective capacity planning of the wide programmes of work.
Deborah now works with a number of clients, including Nottingham City Arts, Road Safety Charity Brake and Derbyshire
County Council on their artsderbyshire website.
In her work with DCC, she has helped to specify the design and structure of the artsderbyshire site,
delivered the first phase of the project and is currently helping them
to develop KPIs to measure performance of the site as well as defining
Phase 2 of the project.
Working with the other clients she has been involved in the delivery of a wide range of services including website design review and evaluation, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, search engine optimisation, e-marketing integration and project management of new technology implementations.
She is a motivational team and departmental manager, a Prince2 qualified
project manager, a Programme Manager, a Creative Director and a Web Consultant.
